2. The information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect and process the following categories of personal data:
- Identity and contact data – name, date of birth, postal address, email address and telephone number;
- Financial data – employment information, residential status, income and expenditure, asset information and creditor information (which may include a credit search);

3. How we collect your data
We collect personal data when you: submit an enquiry through our website or online forms; respond to our advertising (for example, via Google paid search); speak with us by telephone; or otherwise provide information to us directly. We may also receive data from authorised introducer partners where you have consented to your details being passed on.
4. How and why we use your data
We use your personal data to: respond to your enquiry and provide debt advice and related services; assess your financial circumstances; contact you regarding the services you have enquired about; comply with our legal and regulatory obligations; and maintain our business records. We rely on the following lawful bases:
- Consent – where you have submitted an enquiry and agreed to be contacted regarding debt advice;
- Legitimate interests – to operate, administer and improve our services; and
- Legal obligation – to meet our regulatory and statutory duties.
5. Electronic communications
Where we contact you by email or SMS, we do so in accordance with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). You can opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe details provided in our messages, or by contacting us directly.
6. Who we share your data with
We may share your personal data with: authorised debt advice and insolvency service providers to whom you have consented to be referred; our service providers and processors who act on our behalf under a written contract; and regulators, law enforcement or other authorities where we are legally required to do so. Any partner we share your data with is subject to a written data sharing agreement and appropriate confidentiality obligations.
In particular, we share personal data with OMNI Group L.L.C-FZ, a group entity, which supports the processing and administration of enquiries and the provision of related services. This sharing is governed by a written data sharing agreement and appropriate safeguards, and — where it involves any transfer of personal data outside the UK — by an International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in section 7 below.
7. International transfers
Our advisors are UK based. Where we use overseas agents to assist with lead generation and this involves transferring personal data outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — such as an International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses — so that your data receives an equivalent level of protection.
8. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy and to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations. Call recordings and consent records are retained for a minimum of six (6) years. When your data is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your data
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to keep your data secure, including access controls, encryption and password protection for data storage and transfer, and staff training. Data transferred into our CRM is sent by secure, encrypted means with access restricted to authorised personnel.
10. Your rights
Under data protection law, you have the right to: be informed about how your data is used; access your data; request correction of inaccurate data; request erasure; restrict or object to processing; data portability; and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at sam@cleardebthelp.co.uk. We will respond within one calendar month.
11. Cookies
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to enable core functionality and to understand how the site is used. Where required, we obtain your consent to non-essential cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences through your browser settings.
